Solution E.coli bacteria Blue Earth Innovations
In recent weeks there has been a lot of news reporting about the poop bacteria, or E.coli bacteria, that is present in tap water in an increasing number of municipalities in the Netherlands. The Dutch water companies have problems removing this bacteria in several places. E.coli can be dangerous to public health and cause stomach and intestinal complaints. The problem is currently occurring in the Apeldoorn and North Limburg regions. *See the message below from NOS. People are urged to boil drinking water for 3 minutes for safety.
A solution with the Pure Blue Mini
Many of our customers ask whether Blue Earth has a solution for this?
And yes we have! Our Pure Blue Mini can remove E. coli bacteria from the water.
The Pure Blue Mini purifies and vitalizes tap water into excellent drinking water, without a filter and without waste. This purification system also contains a UVC lamp that kills bacteria. This means that the E.coli bacteria have no chance of surviving. In addition, the water is kept cool in the system, which prevents the formation of bacteria.
This water treatment also removes chemicals such as chlorine, medicine residues and PFAS!
A safe solution on several levels!
A limited stock of Pure Blue Minis is currently in production and will be available soon!

Filter systems and the danger of bacterial growth
Our customers also ask us how safe the filter systems on the market are and whether they can filter E.coli bacteria? Bacteria can settle and grow in filters. The E.Coli bacteria cannot be filtered out of the water and filters actually cause bacteria to grow. A contaminated filter will therefore have to be thrown away.
Our other system, the Vita Blue 32, is safe with regard to bacterial growth. There is no filter in it. Bacteria or fungi cannot settle. This system is not able to remove the E.coli bacteria, but it does not promote bacterial growth and is therefore safe to use.

News item NOS October 12, 2024
Nearly 14,000 households in the North of Limburg (Netherlands) must first boil their drinking water for three minutes this weekend. A check revealed minor contamination with E. coli bacteria, better known as poop bacteria.
The boiling advice from the Waterleiding Maatschappij Limburg (WML) applies to households in parts of the municipalities of Venray, Bergen and Horst aan de Maas. WML speaks of a low concentration of the bacteria, but does not want to take any risks with the health of customers: “People with reduced resistance could be at risk of stomach and intestinal complaints.”
The advice applies to water used for drinking, also for livestock and pets, brushing teeth and cooking. The water does not need to be boiled for showering, washing dishes or cleaning. WML expects the boil advisory to remain in effect for at least this weekend.
Also in Apeldoorn poop bacteria
In Apeldoorn, the poop bacteria were also found during an inspection last week. People there have to boil their drinking water. This advice applies at least until this weekend. Drinking water company Vitens has refilled its own storage cellars and is awaiting test results to show whether the water is clean again.
